The narrative in these song is a great lesson to women feeling the pain of a lacking relationship. They describes so many relationships I've seen . . . . and even one experience of my own. We women need to ensure we are not accepting less than we deserve and raise the standard - regardless of how we "feel" about him, don't be afraid to move on! Let him leave . . .
WE TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO TREAT US - We'd have better men if we had better WOMEN
The Message is in the Music . . . Listen to the Lyrics
"LET ME LEAVE" Marc Broussard
How many times have I come to you
How many times have you taken me in
How have you never quite realized
That this will be nothing more than what it's been
Why is it that I return to the scene of the crime
Though there's nothing I need
Between the moments that linger before us
Haven't you wondered why I always leave
Let me
Be who I am
Let me
Leave while I can
You know love don't find
This sort of man
So just let me leave
While I can
How many times have I come to you
Beaten and broken and under attack
How can you look in my eyes and my heart
And not see that there's something I lack
Why is it that I'm as bad as I am
But I know that you'll never believe
Why do you still have to love me
When all I have done is to lie and deceive
Let me
Be who I am
Let me
Leave while I can
You know love don't find
This sort of man
So just let me leave
While I
Can't give you what you need
And I'm so tired that I can't breathe
And I don't know if you can see,
But my ship is goin' down
And I tried my best to be a man
So I set you free while I still can
Cause I can't seem to change who I am
So just let me
Be who I am
Oh, oh, let me
Leave while I can
You know love don't find
This sort of man
So just let me leave
While I can

First thing Monday morning
I'm gonna pick my tears away
Got no cause to look back
I'm lookin' for me a better day
You see the thing 'bout love
Is that it's not enough
If the only thing it brings you is pair
There comes a time when we could all make a change
Just let go
And let it flow, let it flow, let it flow
Everything's gonna work out right,Ya know
Let go, and let it flow, let it flow, let it flow
Just let go
Don't nobody want no broken heart
And don't nobody want on two losers
Ain't nobody gonna love you like you are
If you take whatever he brings your way
You see the thing of itIs we deserve respect
But we can't demand respect without change
There comes a time when we must go our own way
Just let goAnd let it glow, let it flow, let it flow
Everything's gonna work out right,Y'know
Let go,a nd let it flow, let it flow, let it flow
Just let go
Sometimes love it can work out right
Sometimes you'll never know
But if it brings only pain in your life
Don't be afraid to let it go

IF A MAN WANTS YOU . . .
If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.
Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior.
Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
Stop trying to change yourselves for a relationship that's not meant to be.
Slower is better.
Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.
If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can't "be friends." A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend.
Don't settle.
If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is.
Don't stay because you think "it will get better."
You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.
The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women.
He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, Why would he treat you any differently?
Always have your own set of friends separate from his.
Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you.
If something bothers you, speak up.
Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.
You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within.
Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...even if he has more education or in a better job.
Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.
Never let a man define who you are. Never borrow someone else's man. Oh Lord!? If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.
A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.
All men are NOT dogs.
You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is a two-way street.
You need time to heal between relationships...there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship Y
ou should never look for someone to COMPLETE you...
